This weekend marks the second race of the 2011 Best in the Desert Season. The Lasher Motorsports team will head to Las Vegas, NV to the Aliente Casino for Tech and Contingency tomorrow and then race day Saturday morning just outside of Alamo, NV. This race is a point to point race that will clock just over 300 miles of the scenic Nevada desert.
For those of you that will not be able to make it to the race to watch our help us you can track us online at www.racetheworld.net. We are car number 1924 and should be going off of the line about 7am with the motorcycles and quads.
The draw for starting positions wasn't too favorable for us as we drew a 6th starting position with a couple of the fast guys in front of us. The good news is our Monster Energy Kawasaki is running very well right now and we feel like we are bringing a gun to a knife fight. If all goes according to plan we should be in the front of the pack in no time.
Since the Parker 250 we have made some significant improvements to our car that we fell will give us an advantage over the competition. We've upgraded the motor to a Muzzys 916cc, added Billet King's new Rear brake kit to the car, tuned our clutches with EPI, installed a set of PRP Podium seats, and spent time tuning our XMF long travel kit with our Walker Evans shocks.

Commander 1000 "Black Box" throttle cutout eliminator now available from Muzzys
The Can-Am Commander's onboard computer is designed to cut the throttle if it senses excessive wheel spin. This can be extremely limiting, especially to competition racers who rely on maximum power delivery whenever they need it.
Muzzy's Black Box is the answer to this limitation. After installation, you'll never have to worry about the throttle cutting out during power turns or after installing aftermarket performance upgrades. The single plug design makes installation a snap.

Team Jean XMF Polaris RZR Sweeps VORRA Round 2 UTV 800 Division
Folsom, CA – April 17, 2011 -- VORRA did a great job changing up the track for round #2 at Prairie City OHV. The track was longer with some tight corners, fast straightaway’s with some jumps that used every bit of our suspension and then some.
This round had four 800 UTV’s and six 1000 UTV’s. We walked the track prior to tech inspection and decided to change our clutch weights in hopes of getting a little more speed to try and keep up with the 1000 cc UTV’s in the straightaways. Our 2nd overall qualifying, behind the #418 RZR XP of Keenan Rogerson and just in front of the #1965 Muzzy 999 Teryx of Jon Crowley, proved our adjustments to be the right choice.
The race schedule for this round would consist of three 6 lap moto’s (due to the length of the track). Moto #1 had two rows of 5 UTV’s with us starting in the middle of the first row. Our 790cc Holz powered RZR was the quickest of the line but the #418 RZR XP was able to slide underneath us at the end of the long start line. The balance of the first Moto we trailed the #418 and finished 1st in the 800’s and 2nd overall.
The #1965 of Jon Crowley and #1910 of Ricky Leard both crashed out in moto #1, both drivers were fine but their UTV’s will need some work.
Moto #2 had us starting in the 2nd row due to our moto #1 finish. By the third corner we had worked our way to 1st place overall with the #418 hot on our tail. Unfortunately the #418 was able to pass us in the same spot as the first moto and once again we finished 1st in the 800’s and 2nd overall.
Moto #3 was a repeat of the previous 2 moto’s where our XMF, Sapa, Pape Rentals RZR chased the #418 the entire race only to once again finish 2nd overall but we did gain a sweep of the under 800cc division.
Next up for the Team Jean RZR is the VORRA Yerington 300 desert race.
Thank you to our sponsors: XMF (+6 suspension & roll cage), Walker Evans shocks, Sapa Extrusions, Cal Custom Trailers & Power Sports, Pape Rentals, MUZZY Exhaust and Hiper Technology carbon fiber racing wheels.
Final finishing order of the races was:
UTV 1000

Bill Hermant – Reno, NV – Polaris RZR XP
Kyle Moorehead – Artic Cat

Las Vegas, Nevada – Tuesday, April 26, 2011
Casey Folks announced today that more than 225 racers have already signed up to challenge the Bilek Racing Silver State “300”. This record setting entry is featuring some big numbers in several classes. Two of the fastest classes have 61 entries: 24 800+ Horsepower Trick Trucks, 27 Class 1500 unlimited buggies and an incredible 35 Class 4400 Ultra 4 rigs.
Who’s racing? The fastest, most prestigious list of racing names in off-road competition! The Trick Trucks include names like defending class champ B.J. Baldwin, Parker 425 winner Jesse Jones, Chad Ragland, Greg Nunley, Ed Stout, Adam Householder, John Swift, Steve Olliges, Shawn & Steve Croll, Jason Voss, Steve Sourapas, Rick Geiser, Ron Whitton, Marc Ewing, Rick D. Johnson, Jerry Zaiden, Mark & Gary Weyhrich, Scott Whipple. This race also features the largest field of Class 4400 Ultra 4 racers to ever enter a Best in the Desert event. The Silver State “300” course starts at an elevation of 3500 feet and climbs as high as 7400 feet as it winds its way across some of the roughest and most beautiful terrain eastern Nevada has to offer. Many races have stated that it is this extremely challenging course and perfect time of year that has made this race so attractive to them and their competitors.
Folks was quoted, “As I have always said, there is no race like a Best in the Desert event. At last year’s Bilek Racing Silver State “300” only 94 seconds separated the winner and 2nd place; and just 7 minutes was the gap between the top 7 finishers. With this many extremely fast and professional racers signed up - the 2011 Bilek Silver State 300 will be one for the record books. Plus with temperatures in the low 60s and partly cloudy predicted for race day - it’s going to be another great race!”
Time Trials for Classes 1400 and 1500 along with a shot at the Team Ford “Pole Award” will be held Thursday, April 27th. The qualifying order will be announced and the $1000 Pole Award will be presented 7 PM Thursday evening at Camacho’s Cantina inside the Aliante Station Hotel & Casino.

CYCLE GEAR DONATES TO KEEP TRAILS OPEN IN 2011
BENICIA, CA (April 65) - Cycle Gear, the country's largest retailer of motorcycle apparel and accessories, pledges $10,000 to the BlueRibbon Coalition (BRC) in support of the organization's efforts to ensure continued access to public lands.
The donation highlights Cycle Gear's total fiscal commitment to BRC via its Trail Access Fund of matching funds for 2011. This is the 9th year in a row in which Cycle Gear matches (dollar for dollar, up to $10,000 per annum) club and rider donations to the Fund.
Dave Bertram, ISDE gold medalist and CEO of Cycle Gear, states, "Trail riders continue to face land closures and access restrictions on a daily basis. Cycle Gear is proud of this grant program that supports BRC's efforts to successfully champion our rights to access public lands on dirt-bikes and ATVs."
"Today, the OHV community faces an endless parade of frivolous eco-lawsuits, cancelled motorcycle events and closure of historic single-track trails. The off-road business community must continue support access groups that fight to protect our rights to enjoy public lands." Bertram said.
Don Amador, Western Representative for the BlueRibbon Coalition, said, "BRC would not be able to continue its work if it was not for generous donations such as this commitment from Cycle Gear. This support is greatly appreciated as it will help fund our land-use efforts in 2011."

Yokley's Cahuilla Creek WORCS Side by Side & ATV Race Report
Anza, California, April 23-24, 2011
National Guard Polaris Coastal DragonFire Yokley Racing Team driver William Yokley finished 2nd in the Side by Side 1 Class in Round 4 of the 2011 WORCS Series. National Guard Coastal Yokley Racing ATV Team rider Jarrod McClure finished 5th in the Pro ATV Class.
Summary – Side by Side Race
The National Guard Coastal Yokley Racing team arrived in California two days before this WORCS race to do some testing and get used to the terrain. Team Side by Side driver Scott Kiger unfortunately was not able to make the trip. He underwent an emergency appendectomy on Thursday, and is recovering back in West Virginia. The team did the finishing touches on the machines and headed to Cahuilla Creek MX Park in Anza. The course was very fast with a few technical sections including a Pro section featuring huge rocks that had to be ridden over. A pro-style motocross course was also utilized.
William Yokley got a 5th place start in the 45 minute Side by Side Class 1 race. There were 15 in the class, and he passed 2 competitors in the motocross section on the opening lap. He caught up to leader Beau Baron and settled into a good pace. The track crew heavily watered sections of the course, so if you followed too closely, the mud roost was pretty heavy.
Yokley made a charge on the 4th and final lap, but came up just short, and settled for 2nd place. Congratulations to Beau Baron for the victory. Polaris RZR XP’s swept the podium, so it was a great day for these new machines! Yokley maintains his WORCS series points lead, and now focuses on his next Side by Side race at the Indy 100 GNCC event in Gosport Indiana on May 14.
Summary – Pro ATV Race
The National Guard Coastal Yokley Racing ATV Team Rider Jarrod McClure is getting more comfortable competing in this series with every race. Actually, Jarrod is the only east coast racer competing full time in the WORCS series. Jarrod got a 6th place start at the beginning of the 90 minute Pro ATV race. The start area was concrete with a starting gate.
Jarrod worked his way up to 5th position, and was challenging for 4th when he stalled his machine in the Pro rock section on the last lap. He did catch up, but finished in 5th for the day. Jarrod sits tied for 6th in the WORCS season points. His next race is the Loretta Lynn’s GNCC in Hurricane Mills TN on April 30.

RECREATION GROUPS SEEK TO ENTER COLORADO TRAIL LAWSUIT
DENVER, CO (April 25) - A coalition of recreational access groups recently filed papers to join a lawsuit challenging motorized vehicle access to the Pike and San Isabel National Forests in south central Colorado. The Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle Coalition (COHVCO), Trails Preservation Alliance (TPA), and BlueRibbon Coalition (BRC) moved on April 21st to intervene as parties in the case, which was brought by preservationist interests led by The Wilderness Society. The suit claims that the Forest Service illegally authorized motorized travel to at least some trails in the Forests.
This lawsuit comes in the broader context of travel planning throughout the National Forest System. In 2005, the agency promulgated a nationwide rule requiring designation of roads, trails and areas for motorized access. The resulting agency decisions have spawned lawsuits in Montana, California, Idaho, Oregon, North Carolina and elsewhere. Trail-based recreation interests have frequently participated in those actions.
"Our groups have long championed effective recreation management," said John Bongiovanni, a COHVCO Director. "We are far from satisfied with the outcomes on these Forests. It is the motorized recreation community who apparently shoulders the burden of defending trails long used by all. It is essential our role continue when preservationists move the dialogue behind courtroom doors," Bongiovanni concluded.

Since the company was established in 1998, they have placed over 45,000 electric-powered vehicles on the road worldwide. GEM has developed business-to-business sales expertise within the fleet and government vehicle markets, and has created a competitive advantage with core competencies in make-to-order vehicle fulfillment and mobile service support.

“Our vision is to accelerate profitable sales growth for GEM, by combining Polaris’ strength in new product innovation with the most-recognized brand in the low speed vehicle market space,” said Mike Jonikas, Vice President of the On-Road Vehicle Division. “These new product efforts for GEM will be supported by an expanded distribution presence within select domestic and international markets.”
The agreement to acquire GEM will officially close within the next 60 days once Polaris secures the required state sales certifications to sell GEM products. During this interim period, since Polaris will not yet have officially acquired GEM, operations will proceed as usual and Polaris will continue to learn and understand the GEM business through information exchange. Yamaha's Legal Engine Has Kept Its Rhino Off-Road Vehicle Going
![]() |
| Yamaha Rhino |
Today, sales have declined but the storm appears to largely be over. The company has successfully employed a two-pronged strategy -- playing tough with plaintiffs' lawyers in court and tender with regulators. It has also settled more than 100 suits, according to a court document.
A Yamaha spokesman said the economy has hurt off-road vehicle sales but it is starting to see an improvement, including for the Rhino.
The Rhino situation underscores the difficult choices companies must make when their products come under fire from regulators and plaintiffs lawyers. Yamaha says that even though it made product changes to appease regulators, it stands by the original design, and it is appealing a $317,000 judgment in May 2010 in Gwinnett County, Ga., the only trial verdict it has lost.
Yamaha's legal strategy in the cases it has chosen to fight is one that some companies are reluctant to pursue: blaming customers for engaging in unsafe behavior. In one trial last month in Warren County, Ohio, jurors felt the death of a 10-year-old girl was due in part to her failure to wear a helmet, and they declined to award damages to her parents. Their decision to refuse damages came even though most jurors answered "yes" when asked if the Rhino was defective in its design or in the way Yamaha warned riders about hazards or described its capabilities.
Yamaha has deflected much of the heat from regulators by modifying the Rhino's design. To help reduce the chance of rollover, it installed a spacer on the rear wheels and removed a rear anti-sway bar. It installed half doors and passenger handholds on Rhinos that didn't already have them, to help keep occupants' arms and legs inside during a rollover.
As part of a March 2009 agreement with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Yamaha offered to make the changes on Rhinos already on the market, an action regulators said covered 145,000 vehicles. The CPSC is pursuing still tougher standards for the Rhino and other similar vehicles, known as recreational off-road vehicles, or ROVs.
Meanwhile, Yamaha has scored a string of victories in the cases involving Rhino accidents that have gone to trial. Yamaha has won or avoided paying damages in eight of nine product liability lawsuits taken to trial and resolved as recently as this month -- a track record it says has helped to persuade plaintiffs in at least 200 other suits to withdraw their cases and claims.

Celebrating 30 Years of Team Green
Dreams, Sacrifice, and Success: Celebrating 30 Years of Team Green
What started out 30 years ago as an idea written on a napkin has grown into the most successful amateur race support program in the world. In 1981, Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. created the Team Green™ program to support Kawasaki racers at major amateur motocross events across the nation. Starting out as a couple of Kawasaki technicians in a van who traveled to races helping a few mini-cycle racers, the program has matured into a multi-million dollar program that has revolutionized the racing world. Proud to celebrate its 30 year anniversary, Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green continues its ongoing tradition of developing amateur motocross racers into today’s top professionals.
The Foundation is Set
In 1981 the Team Green program was put into motion and captained by its first team manager, Dave Jordan. It is his vision that still remains the heart and soul of Kawasaki Team Green. The program’s structure was similar to a baseball minor league farm team in order to groom future champions. It was also geared to help the people who needed it most - not the pros - but the racers who had to put up every dime out of their pocket to go racing. The bottom line was, and still is, that being a Kawasaki owner is like being part of a bigger picture; a family of fellow owners, riders, dealers and technicians spread across the country. Jordan’s goal was to make winning on a Kawasaki motorcycle something that everyone wanted to be a part of by creating a tangible sense of community.
“If we learned one thing in those early years, it was to never put pressure on an amateur racer,” said Jordan. “Just pat them on the back and tell them to have a good time. If we gave them good support and good equipment, they’d win.”
The Wheels Set in Motion
Jordan began growing Team Green by recruiting a talented roster of young riders like Billy Liles, Keith Turpin, Kyle Lewis, Scott Brown, Kyle Landrum, Hank Moree, and the Coombs brothers. By 1982 the team had already proven itself as the dominant force in American motocross racing, winning nearly fifty percent of the classes they entered in the Ponca City NMA Grand National Championships. Jordan also expanded the program to include a new enduro support program.
Branching Out
Team Green’s successful program continued to draw in more and more members from around the nation as the program continued to evolve. In 1983, the family continued to expand its horizons with the addition of Chris and Jimmy White and the three-wheel ATV support program. The new addition to Team Green was introduced with the inception of Kawasaki’s KXT250 Tecate® ATV. The same year Bruce Stjernstrom was named Dave Jordan’s successor.
Girl Power
By 1985, Team Green’s amateur motocross racing program was running wide open competing regularly in Ponca City, the Mini Olympics, Lake Whitney GNC, World Mini, and Loretta Lynn’s. Mercedes Gonzalez was added to the roster of Team Green’s finest, marking the team’s expansion into women’s motocross. More successful women motocross racers would soon follow including Jessica Patterson, Dee Ann Wood, Christy Sealy, and Elizabeth Bash. Girls like Kelly Yancey and Heidi Landon were also brought on-board and rounded-off the team competing in the off-road and ATV disciplines.
The Big Leagues
Team Green continued expanding throughout the motorcycle world, and by 1986 its amateur racers had already gained a reputation, proving themselves many times over. Some of the industry’s most colorful riders were already part of the amateur roster including Jeff Emig, Jeremy McGrath, and Brian Deegan. Team Green was proving to be quite good at graduating amateur riders to the pro-ranks. As a result, a new branch of Team Green would develop, the Team Green Pro Support program, which assisted amateur riders who were transitioning into the pro ranks. The first Team Green pro support riders who blasted their way to the top ranks were Ronnie Tichenor, Donny Schmit, Rodney Barr, and Tyson Vohland.
Supercharged
With Mark Johnson taking over as Team Green Manager in 1987, and the addition of an off-road rider named Larry Roeseler, the Team Green off-road program was instantly supercharged, marking the beginning of their domination in Baja and other off-road races around the world. In their first attempt, Roeseler and teammate Ted Hunnicutt captured Kawasaki’s first victory in Baja, the start of many to come. The program would see many successful off-road racers like Ty Davis, Danny LaPorte, Marty Smith, and Danny Hamel. By 1993, the off-road team had won nine-straight Baja 1000 victories and dominated most of the races they attended.
Star-Studded Roster
As Team Green continued to grow, so did the roster of racers who would later set the bar for the entire motocross industry. In 1994, Ron Heben was hired as the amateur motocross supervisor, a position in which he immediately excelled. He was considered the primary mentor for Kevin Windham, Ricky Carmichael, and James Stewart.
Expansion Team
By 1996, Heben was moved up to Team Green manager and Reid Nordin was hired from Kawasaki Research and Development to become the off-road supervisor. The team continued stacking up wins with Jimmy Gladis and Jeromy Buehl dominating the top-two spots in that year’s Arenacross championship. Team Green also got an upgrade with the addition of the very first state-of-the-art 18-wheeled transporter for the amateur ranks. By 1997, Team Green was proving to be an unstoppable force. Between riders Ty Davis and Jeff Emig, Kawasaki garnered eight AMA Pro national championship titles, AMA Pro Athlete of the Year, Motocross Manufacturer of the Year, and AMA Horizon and Rookie of the Year. Davis nailed the AMA National Hare & Hound and Western 4-stroke National Championships, while Emig walked away with the AMA 250cc Supercross and 250cc Motocross National Championships. The Heben era lasted until 2001, at which point Nordin took over as Team Green manager.
Building Champions for Decades
More riders have been groomed for the professional ranks by Kawasaki’s Team Green staff than any other organization. Through the 90’s and the new millennium, talented riders have continued to join the team and put Kawasaki bikes on the podium. Riders like Ricky Carmichael, Jeremy McGrath, Jeff Emig, James Stewart, Kevin Windham, Ivan Tedesco, and Tim Ferry are Team Green graduates who have raised the bar. Our current team is constantly working to set the bar higher every day. Riders like Ryan Villopoto, Justin Soule, Blake Baggett, and Dean Wilson are the more recent Team Green graduates who are a testament to the continued success of the program.
Measure of Success
The enormous success of Team Green can be measured on many levels. From a sales standpoint, Team Green has been a huge success. It’s nearly impossible to go to any amateur motocross race and not find green bikes dominating the lineup. With an unmatched contingency program and track-side support, serious racers are always looking to go green. If success is measured by national, regional, and local race wins, then Team Green has been an enormous success. Team Green has won more amateur titles and groomed more of today’s top professionals than any other amateur motorcycle race program in history. For Team Green, the most important measure of success is, and always has been, in its ability to put smiles on young faces and help them realize their dreams.
30 Years and Counting…
After 30 successful years, Team Green continues to develop champions and engender the team spirit to anyone on a Kawasaki product. Originally developed to help Kawasaki grow, the Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green program has evolved to do so much more by transforming the racing world into what it is today.

Off-roaders power Polaris results; shares hit new high
Source: Reuters Off-roaders power Polaris results; shares hit new high

April 20 (Reuters) - Increased spending by Americans on rugged off-road vehicles used in farms and thrill-seeking sports helped Polaris Industries Inc report its highest ever first-quarter profit and raise its outlook for the year.
The strong results pushed shares of the company up as much as 27 percent to a new life-time high. The broader Dow Jones U.S. Recreational Products Index rose 9 percent, while shares of rival Arctic Cat Inc were up 8 percent.
Polaris, which is also known for its snowmobiles and heavyweight motorcycles, attributed the performance to strong pricing that boosted gross margins and a 55 percent jump in sales of its off-road vehicles.
Off-road vehicles, which comprise all-terrain and side-by-side vehicles, are used in recreational activities as well as on farms and construction sites. They account for about 70 percent of Polaris' total revenue.
"The side-by-side segment is doing well ... better than the traditional ATV segment. On top of that, Polaris is the leading player in that segment," Longbow Research analyst James Hardiman said.
Side-by-side vehicles, also known as utility task vehicles, are off-road, four-wheel drive vehicles that can carry up to six passengers in addition to cargo.
"It is an improving economy. People are a little bit more willing to put their discretionary dollars to work," Hardiman said.
The U.S. agricultural economy is the healthiest in years as rising farm income allows farmers to pay off debt and buy land and machinery to meet booming demand for crops and livestock.
For 2011, Polaris expects earnings of $5.53-$5.68 a share, up from its prior view of $4.65-$4.85 a share. It expects gross margins to increase by up to 90 basis points over last year's 26.6 percent.
ON A BIKING TRIP
Separately, Polaris said it acquired North Carolina-based heavy motorcycle maker Indian Motorcycle from U.K private equity firms Stellican Limited and Novator Partners LLP.
The deal will boost Polaris' presence in the heavyweight motorcycle market, where its Victory brand motorcycles are a distant rival of Harley-Davidson .
"We will gain access to what we call the die-hard segment where riders look for classic styling and iconic brands. This deal more than doubles the scope of our target market," Chief Executive Scott Wine said on a conference call with analysts.
The on-road vehicle segment currently accounts for about 4 percent of Polaris' total revenue.
Polaris competes with the likes of Yamaha Motor Co , Honda Motor Co , Suzuki Motor Corp , Bombardier Recreational Products and Deere & Co in various segments.
Shares of the company were up 25 percent at $114 in heavy trade, making the stock the biggest gainer on the New York Stock Exchange.

Yokley Racing attends Thunder over Louisville
The National Guard Polaris Coastal Drilling Yokley Racing Team hauler traveled to Louisville Kentucky for the annual Thunder over Louisville on April 16. This one day event features the largest annual fireworks show in the country, kicking off the festivities leading up to the KY Derby on the first Saturday in May. Unusually volatile spring weather in the region made less than perfect weather conditions for the event. Intermittent rain, cool temps and windy conditions kept the attendance less than normal.
However, 300,000 people attended and witnessed a great air show featuring 90 military and other aircraft, including the latest $150 million F-22 Raptor fighter jet. 58,000 shells were exploded for the grand finale 30 minute fireworks display. The 85 foot Polaris Coastal hauler and Polaris RZR XP race machines were the showcase display in the National Guard space. The hauler provided a great place for the National Guard recruiters to get out of the cold, wet conditions and talk to interested potential recruits. National Guard Team racers William Yokley and Jarrod McClure worked the display all day to interact with the crowd.
The display area was located on the Louisville riverfront's Great Lawn, and featured presentations by all branches of the military, UPS, Ford Motor Co, Meiers, McDonalds Corp and many other companies. The static display of the Army Apache attack helicopter is always a crowd favorite.

The area not only offers motorized trail riding, but activities for all types of outdoor enthusiasts including hunting, fishing, horseback riding and mountain climbing. A rock garden is being planned, which has the potential to be one of the longest man-made rock crawling courses in the region.
Indiana Four Wheel Drive Association (IFWDA) was formed in 1980 and acts on the common concern for motorized recreation while practicing stewardship of our natural resources. IFWDA, through its association with other state and national organizations, works to promote and act on issues affecting four-wheel drive recreation.
• Morrison Trail, in Wyoming’s Shoshone National Forest, offers various types of terrain including arid canyons, alpine forests, high mountain meadows and small lakes at 10,000 feet. Hitting the trail shortly after it opens in mid-July is a gift as off-road enthusiasts will have the pleasure of experiencing a carpet of beautiful wildflowers in the meadows. The panoramic views from almost every part of the trail are breathtaking and inspiring.
Magic City 4-Wheelers, Inc. is a family oriented OHV club. The club organizes annual race rallies, monthly trail rides and trail maintenance trips. Magic City 4-Wheelers always follow the Tread Lightly! trail ethic and educate others when possible regarding proper trail ethic. All club members are also members of the Montana 4X4 Association and UFWDA.

Polaris RZR XP-900 Digi-Tune PRO EFI Controller now available at Muzzys
Taking air/fuel tuning to the next level, the Muzzy Digi-Tune PRO uses the latest technology to provide one of the easiest and most accurate methods of tuning the Polaris RZR XP-900.
The Muzzy Digi-Tune PRO comes pre-programmed and optimized specifically for the XP-900. There is no mapping or re-mapping necessary. Adjustments for elevation and/or modifications can be done "on-the-fly" using three buttons on the faceplate.
What sets the new PRO version apart from the standard Digitune is the ability to remove fuel from the stock curve. Also included is a 0-5 volt input lead for future upgrade to closed loop* operation.
WHY IT'S BETTER:
The Digi-Tune is a load based fuel adder which works with the factory ECU. The Digi-Tune's simple push button interface and powerful load based technology renders complex table-based throttle position and RPM re-mapping systems a thing of the past.
LOAD BASED TUNING:
The Digi-Tune ushers in the latest in tuning science – gone is the old throttle position and RPM (Alpha-N) based tuning, replaced by a powerful and highly effective LOAD BASED tuning methodology. Load based tuning is superior to old school systems because different CVT ratios place different loads on the engine. RPM and throttle position based systems cannot tell the difference from one ratio to another. The Digi-Tune knows the difference and adds the proper amount of fuel for every gear ratio, in every situation.
Muzzy Digi-Tune PRO is a perfect compliment to a new Polaris RZR XP Exhaust.
*Not compatible with all air/fuel meters. Air/fuel meter must have 0-5 volt output. Please specify Air/Fuel meter being used at time of purchase. The Digi-tune PRO may require air/fuel meter specific programming prior to shipping.
For more information, please visit www.Muzzys.com

R.J. Anderson Podiums in 2 Classes at Speedworld
Riverside, CA 4/19/2011 - It was another succesful weekend for R.J. Anderson and his Walker Evans Racing Team in Surprise, AZ for Rounds 3 & 4 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. The team came into Surprise with a new look on the #37 Walker Evans Racing / SoCal Super Trucks / Polaris Industries Super-Lite Truck and a freshly rebuilt Walker Evans Racing / South Point Hotel & Casino / Polaris Ranger RZR XP900. But the same aggressive and smooth driving of R.J. Anderson remained.
Super-Lite Championship Series
It did not take R.J. long to find his groove at Speedworld, qualifying first in Super-Lite for both rounds held this past Saturday and Sunday. In the Main on Saturday R.J. fought hard with both CJ Greaves and Jacob Person to get on the podium. R.J. would fall a bit short of taking the top position in Round 3 but the Walker Evans Team was happy to see the #37 on the podium in 3rd position, collecting important points for what will surely be a tight and hard fought battle for the Super-Lite Championship.
Sunday's Round 4 race would be more of the same in the Super-Lite class with a tight battle being waged amongst the young guns of the series. R.J. found himself in a battle for 2nd place with fellow UTV racer Chad George. R.J. and Chad have been competing against each other for years so this is familiar territory for both drivers. They would come into the last lap racing side by side but it would be R.J. who would finish in 2nd and once again collecting those ever important championship points. The #37 Walker Evans Racing / SoCal Super Trucks / Polaris Industries racing team will be watching closely when the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series points standings are released on Wednesday.
"We came into rounds 3 & 4 with intentions of winning. We came up a bit short both days, I tend to be a little hard on myself but I am still happy that we were able to put the truck on the podium both days. our #37 Super-Lite is working so well, every time I get in this truck I feel like I can win. It gets a little crazy out there, it starts to feel a little like a demolition derby at times but at the same time its exciting for the fans and for us as drivers to see the crowd on their feet when we are out there battling. I want to thank the entire Walker Evans Racing / SoCal Super Trucks / Polaris Industries team and our sponsors SoCal Super Trucks, Polaris, South Point Hotel & Casino, Goodyear Tires, Mastercraft Safety, Write Gear Box, Walker Evans Racing and of course the Super-Lite Championship Series Staff. Everyone plays an important role in getting our team to the track each and every round and we look forward to racing hard for a championship this year." - R.J. Anderson
Pro Unlimited UTV
After a terrible accident in the Round 2 race at Firbird the Walker Evans Racing / South Point Hotel & Casino / Polaris Ranger RZR XP900 team had to go back to the shop with intentions of re-working the car in time to compete in Surprise only a couple weeks away. Much like rounds 1 & 2 the UTV would get completed just in time to line up for practice but in true Walker Evans Racing style the car was not only ready to race but it was better than before. Sponsors Polaris Industries, Holz racing, and Kroyer Race Engines once again came to the rescue to help Walker Evans Racing get the car back into racing shape. R.J.then came out and turned off the fastest lap time in practice and qualified first for Saturdays Main event! Despite having the fastest lap time in the Round 3 Main, R.J. would fall just short of Chad George for the win and would take a hard fought 2nd place trophy home for himself and the team.
Round 4 on Sunday would have R.J. once again finishing 2nd place behind long time competitor Tyler Winbury. Anderson and his #637 Walker Evans Racing / South Point Hotel & Casino / Polaris Ranger RZR XP900 was really running strong and having these 4 rounds of racing under their belt is going to give them some good stuff to go and work on to get this machine even faster. This is a new platform for Polaris, a new engine and suspension design that is now really starting to come together. The Walker Evans Racing shocks will continue to be fine tuned, the Kroyer motor package will get stronger, and R.J. will continue to come out with a will and desire to finish on top for himself and for his team.
"This new Polaris RZR XP900 is just so fun to drive. Despite looking similar to my car last year it isn't the same at all. We are still finding our way with the car and each round we learn something new. I am confident that with the help and support of Walker Evans Racing, South Point Hotel & Casino, Polaris Industries, Holz Racing Products, Kroyer Race Engines, Goodyear Tires, Mastercraft Safety, and our entire crew and team we will have this machine finishing on top many times this year. I plan to bring something extra to the track and I can't wait to go to work to prepare for rounds 5 & 6 here in my back yard at Glen Helen in California." - R.J. Anderson

POLARIS INDUSTRIES TO KEEP SOME ENGINE MANUFACTURING IN OSCEOLA
The Company will preserve jobs at facility to meet demands of continued, strong growth
MEDINA, Minn. (April 19, 2011) — Polaris Industries Inc. (NYSE: PII) today announced it will keep some of its engine manufacturing operations in Osceola, WI. This announcement comes in response to stronger than projected growth for Polaris in recent months.
“Since we announced the strategic realignment last year, our volumes are up significantly in each of our businesses and our U.S. plants are full from a physical footprint standpoint,” said Scott Wine, CEO, Polaris Industries Inc. “While we have outperformed our original volume projections, the Osceola team has executed flawlessly and continues to produce world-class, quality products. In order to meet escalating demand while maintaining our focus on quality, keeping some engine capability and output in Osceola was an obvious choice.”
Keeping these manufacturing operations in Osceola allows Polaris dual-plant production capability for Off-Road Vehicle engines and provides production continuity for motorcycle and snowmobile engines. The Company will utilize the capabilities and current infrastructure in Osceola to maintain continuity for the foreseeable future.
Polaris worked closely with the state of Wisconsin and the Department of Commerce to keep some engine manufacturing in Osceola and preserve approximately 50 assembly jobs at the facility. Polaris’ current global employment base is approximately 3,300 people.
About Polaris

Polaris is a recognized leader in the snowmobile industry; and one of the largest manufacturers of ORVs in the world. Victory motorcycles, established in 1998 and representing the first all-new American-made motorcycle from a major company in nearly 60 years, are making in-roads into the cruiser and touring motorcycle marketplace. Polaris also enhances the riding experience with a complete line of Pure Polaris apparel, accessories and parts, available at Polaris dealerships.
Polaris Industries Inc. trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “PII”, and the Company is included in the S&P MidCap 400 stock price index.
