Irvine, Calif. (July 28, 2011) - When the program began in 1981, Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green’s™ primary objective was to provide on-site race support to anyone riding a Kawasaki. For their amateur racers, the objective set forth was simple, to have fun and do their best. The ensuing effect resulted in Team Green cultivating more amateur national motocross championships than any other amateur race team in history. From the AMA Winter National Olympics to off-road races that wind through the deserts of Baja, Mexico, Team Green riders have continued to dominate wherever they compete. Although the program has grown in many ways, and changed several times throughout its lifetime, the recipe for success remains the same.
Since its inception, Team Green has always tried to provide trackside support for any amateur racer who needs it. The positive and productive environment Team Green fosters has proven extremely conducive to winning. Within its first year, Team Green riders captured 13 championships at the NMA World Mini GP, nine championships at the NMA Grand National Championships in Ponca City, Okla., and three championships at the AMA Amateur Nationals in Reidsville, N.C. By 1982, up-and-coming amateur racers like Larry Ward and Eddie Warren were already racking up national championships and making a name for themselves on their Kawasaki KXs.
By 1983, Team Green had already positioned itself as the premier amateur motocross race program in the world. With an ever-increasing contingency payout program, some of the biggest names in amateur motocross were already earning their stripes aboard green bikes. At the 1983 GNC National championships, Team Green riders won every 60cc and 80cc class championship, walking away with a total of 12 championships across all classes. At the AMA Winter National Olympics, Ward captured the Bronze Boot award on his KX™80 after four days of impressive riding over four different disciplines. By the end of the 1983 race season, Team Green riders Ward, Warren, Todd Benfield, Kyle Lewis, Jason Prater, and Todd Campbell had each earned an AMA National No. 1 plate.
As each year passed, Team Green continued expanding its reach and filling its trophy cabinets. By 1985, the number of Kawasakis at a typical amateur event had grown from a 10 percent average to more than a 50 percent average. Kawasaki bikes made up 63 percent of the total entries at the NMA Nationals in Ponca City, 52 percent of the total entries at the GNC Finals, and more than half of the field at the Winter National Olympics, which saw 595 green bikes sign up for competition. Within a two-week span, Team Green riders netted a total of 30 national championships between the AMA and NMA amateur national events. Riders like Jeff Matiasevich, Hank Moree, and Lowell Thomson were racking up the motocross wins while Jimmy White and Chris White were taking the Kawasaki KXT250 Tecate® ATV to the top of the podium in three-wheel racing. Team Green also recruited its first international member, Pedro Gonzales, from Monterrey, Mexico, who won the 83cc Modified Novice 12+ class at the NMA Nationals the same year aboard a KX80.
Recognizing their amateur racers would eventually become professional racers, in 1985 Team Green expanded its program again to include Team Green Pro Support. The program was designed to give amateurs an extra year to mature and to ease their transition into the pro ranks. The same year, in the Pro-Am Supercross Championship series, Team Green’s Warren scored the 125cc East class championship aboard his KX™125, with teammate Rodney Barr finishing close behind in second. In addition to Team Green’s success in the Pro-Am Supercross series, Kawasaki pro rider Jeff Ward won the Supercross class championship aboard his KX™250. Team Green’s Matiasevich was also gaining a reputation on his KX125, racking up championships at the amateur national events.
Each year as more Kawasaki bikes populated race tracks around the nation, their contingency purse grew as well. By 1987, Kawasaki’s contingency program was offering more than $1.1 million in payouts, the most prize money ever offered by any motorcycle manufacturer to that point. The same year also marked Kevin Windham’s induction into the Team Green ranks. Aboard his KX™60, Windham went to work at the GNC finals, taking home the Mini-Mini Junior class championship and his share of the contingency payout.
In 1987, Team Green expanded once again, into the off road racing world. In Kawasaki’s SCORE Baja 500 debut, Team Green’s Larry Roeseler and Ted Hunicutt Jr. piloted their KX™500 through 500 miles of Mexican desert putting the only Kawasaki entered in Class 22 (motorcycles over 250cc) into the winner’s circle. Later that year, Hunicutt Jr. and Brett Howell did it again, winning the SCORE Baja 1000 aboard a KX™250WR, and gapping the field by more than 30 minutes. Kawasaki Team Green went on to win the next nine-consecutive SCORE Baja 1000 races with the help Roeseler, Hunicutt Jr., Ty Davis, Paul Krause, Danny LaPorte, Danny Hamel, and Paul Ostbo.
During the 1980s some of the future’s biggest names in motocross joined the Team Green program and also grabbed their share of championships. This decade saw a plethora of talented riders earning their stripes on the amateur circuit with Team Green. Riders like Jeff Emig, Mike Kiedrowski, Ezra Lusk, Ron Tichenor, Keith Turpin, and Denny Stephenson all graduated the ranks of Team Green before moving on to become successful professionals and some of the most recognizable names in the industry.
Although Team Green has gained the most notoriety for its success in motocross, it has also found success across the racing world. It began branching out in 1985 with White piloting the Kawasaki Tecate®250 to two championships (’86 and ’89) in the Mickey Thompson Stadium Series. Mike Penland proved four-wheels can do better than three, capturing several Utility ATV class GNCC championships, two Olympic ATV championships, and four championships in the SCORE Baja 1000 aboard his KVF™650.
By 1998, Team Green entered into the world of drag racing with Rickey Gadson, who quickly made a name for himself aboard the Kawasaki Ninja®. The most accomplished drag racer in AMA Prostar Drag Racing history, Gadson has captured nine world championships aboard a Kawasaki ZX™. He also recently posted two new land speed records at more than 200 mph aboard a Kawasaki ZX™-10R, and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Team Green’s dynasty continued to flourish throughout the 1990s as the team produced motocross superstars almost like a factory. Many Team Green riders who saw immense success through the 90s, and through the millennium, went on to became some of the biggest names in motorcycle racing today. Team Green’s all-star roster included icons like Jeremy McGrath, Rickey Carmichael, James Stewart, Timmy Ferry, Damon Huffman, Windham, and Ryan Villopoto. Most of these riders spent many years training with Team Green before moving on to professional careers.
In the world of off-road racing Team Green has cultivated more than its share of championships. In the early 90s, Danny Hamel won four-consecutive AMA National Hare & Hound titles. By 2000, Destry Abbott took over the reigns and kept the wins coming grabbing five AMA National Hare & Hound titles and three BITD championships over an eight-year period. In the last three decades Team Green riders have accumulated 12 AMA National Hare & Hound championships, five AMA National Hare Scrambles titles, three Best In the Desert overall championships, two World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS) titles, and one EnduroCross championship. In side-by-side racing, Kawasaki Teryx® pilot Chad George has picked up four-consecutive championships, nabbing two in the Championship Off Road Racing series and two in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.
For the last 30 years, Team Green has continued to successfully expand throughout the racing world. What began as a top tier amateur motocross organization has blossomed into a full-fledged racing dynasty. What remains constant is Team Green’s commitment to its riders and their ability to win championships. Over the past decade, several of today’s top racers also came through the Team Green program. Riders like Nick Wey, Josh Hill, Andrew Short, Trey Canard, Ryan Sipes, Kyle Chisholm, Blake Wharton, Kyle Cunningham, Austin Stroupe, Justin Soule’, Blake Baggett, Dean Wilson, the 2011 AMA Arenacross champion Tyler Bowers, and the 2011 FIM World Supercross champion Villopoto, all came through the Team Green amateur race program before going pro. In recent years, Abbott and Taylor Robert have kept the winning tradition alive in the outdoors with championships in the Hare & Hound and WORCS series, respectively. Team Green also continues grooming today’s top amateur racers like Adam Cianciarulo, Justin Hill, Chase and Zach Bell, Jacob Hayes, Mark Worth, Brandy Richards, and Stilez Robertson to become the champions of tomorrow.

Arctic Cat Reports Fiscal 2012 First Quarter Results
![]() |
| 2012 Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000 |
Among the highlights of Arctic Cat's 2012 first quarter financial results versus the same quarter last year:
- Net sales grew 18 percent;
- Gross margins increased 210 basis points;
- Operating expenses as a percent of sales declined to 24 percent compared to 28 percent in the prior-year quarter;
- Factory inventory fell 2 percent;
- Total cash and short-term investments at quarter end rose to $99.3 million, up from $58.6 million; and
- The company had no short- or long-term debt.

| Prowler 700i HDX |
All-terrain vehicle (ATV) sales rose 36 percent to $37.9 million in the first quarter versus $27.8 million in the same period last year. Contributing to ATV sales in the quarter were increased sales of Arctic Cat's Prowler side-by-side utility vehicles and international ATV sales. Arctic Cat continued its strategy to match wholesale sales with actual retail demand, while introducing new models and features in the ATV segments with the greatest consumer demand.
In the first quarter, Arctic Cat unveiled a partial lineup of its 2012 ATVs and side-by-sides. New models include the MudPro 700i LTD, with electronic power steering, and the Prowler 700i HDX, which received a sporty, new round tube surround frame for 2012. The three-passenger Prowler HDX is designed to be a heavy-duty utility workhorse. Its versatile rear cargo box hauls up to 1,000 lbs. and offers removable sides to create a convenient flatbed. In addition, power steering and an extra long wheelbase give it a smooth, comfortable ride. Arctic Cat also added enhanced features throughout its extensive ATV and side-by-side Prowler line-up.
"Sales of our ATVs outperformed the industry in the first quarter and we gained market share," said Jordan. "We are excited to launch our first entry into the growing sport side-by-side market with our Wildcat model, and we remain on track to ship this off-road vehicle to dealers in fiscal 2012. Looking ahead, we expect continued growth in fiscal 2012 in our ATV segment, due to the competitive strength of our core ATV and Prowler offerings, and the growth potential for the Wildcat sport side-by-side model."
On July 27, 2011, Arctic Cat unveiled the all-new Wildcat V-Twin 1000i H.O. as the most potent pure-sport recreational off-road vehicle (ROV) ever built. With 17 inches of suspension travel, 13 inches of ground clearance, a full-perimeter frame and the largest displacement engine in its class, the Wildcat is a full-production version of what was previously reserved for off-road race vehicles. In addition to industry-leading suspension travel, standard features on the Wildcat include power steering, and front and rear LED lights.
"The Wildcat has no equal--period," said Jordan. "Our customers asked for a high-performance side-by-side and we happily responded with a no-compromise, pure-sport hot rod that redefines what's possible with a production off-road vehicle."
Snowmobile sales rose 2 percent to $17.4 million in the first quarter compared to $17.1 million in the prior-year quarter. Arctic Cat unveiled an extensive new 2012 model line-up in March, with 23 all-new snowmobiles representing 75 percent of the current offerings. The company anticipates that the breadth of its new models and innovative technologies will have a positive impact on fiscal 2012 snowmobile sales.
Sales of parts, garments and accessories (PG&A) in the first quarter grew 7 percent to $19.7 million versus $18.5 million in the prior-year quarter. During the quarter, Arctic Cat launched a PG&A e-commerce website for the U.S. market, giving consumers a convenient online shopping option for the full range of Arctic Cat PG&A products. Arctic Cat continues to expand its new accessories and garment offerings.
Company Raises Fiscal 2012 Outlook
"We are off to an excellent start in fiscal 2012 and are optimistic about the year ahead, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Arctic Cat brand," Jordan said. "Based on the higher than anticipated sales and earnings in the first quarter, we are raising our outlook for fiscal 2012. The company is well-positioned for future sales growth across our product lines. We expect significantly higher snowmobile sales, due to our new model line-up. In addition, we are excited about the upcoming launch of our Wildcat sport side-by-side model, coupled with the strength of our core ATV and Prowler offerings. Further, we remain focused on enhancing profitability by continuing to leverage the company's operational efficiencies."
The company's fiscal 2012 outlook includes the following assumptions versus the prior fiscal year: ATV industry retail sales declining approximately 10 to 15 percent; snowmobile industry retail sales up approximately 5 to 10 percent; Arctic Cat dealer inventories decreasing 10 to 20 percent; achieving flat to slightly down operating expense levels as a percent of sales; increasing cash flow from operations; and ending the year with more cash on the balance sheet. At this time, the company expects gross margins to improve between 20 to 60 basis points in fiscal 2012, although commodity costs will remain a challenge for the foreseeable future.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2012, Arctic Cat now anticipates sales in the range of $520 million to $530 million, an increase of 12 percent to 14 percent versus fiscal 2011. The company estimates that fiscal 2012 earnings will increase 34 percent to 43 percent and be in the range of $0.94 to $1.00 per diluted share. Previously, the company expected sales in the range of $488 million to $502 million for fiscal 2012 and earnings per diluted share in the range of $0.75 to $0.82 per diluted share.
"We are confident that our strategies will enable Arctic Cat to deliver improved shareholder value again this fiscal year," said Jordan.

Polaris RANGER Crew Diesel Introduced
In 2011, Polaris entered the diesel Side-by-Side segment, with the introduction of the new RANGER Diesel. The RANGER Diesel shared the same full-size chassis as the RANGER XP 800 with the same attributes that made the RANGER line the hardest working, smoothest riding vehicles on the market. For 2012, Polaris is introducing its second diesel model and third vehicle to its multi-passenger line up, the RANGER CREW Diesel.
The RANGER CREW Diesel shares the same 904cc, three-cylinder YANMAR® diesel engine as the RANGER Diesel, with the ability to carry six adults in total comfort. The engine is rubber-mounted to transfer minimal vibration to the operator, and provides low-speed torque to work harder. The fully-sealed, fixed center distance clutch driveline keeps water out of the clutches and provides better performance than competitive models.
RANGER CREW Diesel’s work ethic also includes a 55 amp alternator that gives the operator the ability to run many hard working, higher electrical load accessories, such as plows, extra lights, cab heaters and fans at the same time. It boasts a monstrous one-ton towing to tackle the toughest jobs and comes standard with a 2-inch hitch receiver to tow accessories with ease. Its 1,000 lb/454.5 kg capacity rear dump box has gas-assist dumping operation and accommodates many hardworking PURE Polaris accessories that go on and off in seconds.
RANGER Side-by-Sides are known to be the Smoothest Riding vehicles on the market and the RANGER CREW Diesel is no exception. Its long wheelbase combined with its fully-adjustable suspension creates a very smooth ride, even when fully-loaded. The vehicle’s suspension is the only four-corner adjustable suspension system that features Dual A-Arms with exclusive top-mounting-point adjustability. For recreational riding, the user can adjust to a softer setting or adjust stiffer for heavy-duty work. With a suspension travel of 9.6 in/24.4 cm up front, 9 in/22.9 cm in the rear and a ground clearance of 11.5 in/29.2 cm, the RANGER CREW Diesel provides a very comfortable ride.
To complement the suspension and travel, the RANGER CREW Diesel features On- Demand True All-Wheel Drive with VersaTrac that keeps you moving, automatically engaging all four wheels when you need more forward traction and reverting back to two-wheel drive when you don’t. When in two-wheel drive, the VersaTrac Turf Mode switch unlocks the rear differential for easier, tighter turns that won’t tear up the grass.
Inside the cab, the vehicle has the ability to carry six adults comfortably due to its superior comfort and ergonomics, including a slide-through cab design for easy entrance and exit that also provides lots of legroom. Leaned seatbacks provide extra comfort during travel and 10-inches/25.4 cm of tilt steering-travel provides plenty of steering wheel position options for the driver. For 2012, The RANGER CREW Diesel will be available in Sage Green.

New RANGER RZR 570 is second trail-capable offering from Polaris
![]() |
| Polaris RZR 570 |
“The launch of the RANGER RZR 800 introduced the industry to the first trail-capable Side-by-Side,” said Matt Homan, vice president and general manager of Polaris’ Off-Road Division. “With the success of the RANGER RZR 800, we saw the need for a single-cylinder model at a price point that will allow more customers to enter the trail-capable Side-by-Side segment.”
At the heart of the RANGER RZR 570 is an all-new ProStar™ 570 single cylinder, DOHC, electronic fuel injected engine. The engine is the second in the ProStar family, made specifically for Side-by-Side vehicles, which also includes the ProStar 900 introduced earlier this year in the RANGER RZR XP 900. The ProStar 570 has 650 watts of stator output and features a removable cargo bed floor and a wet sump for easy serviceability.
To complement the new engine, Polaris equipped the RANGER RZR 570 with a new transmission that was specifically built to optimize the power of the new ProStar engine. Its optimized gear geometry means more power to the ground, less driveline noise and lighter weight. The innovative design, first featured on the RANGER RZR XP 900, features a helical cut final drive with high torque capacity to maximize efficiency.
To tackle the rugged trail, the RANGER RZR 570 features an all-new, ultra smooth Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) with specifically-designed geometry that provides 9.5-inches of travel in the rear. The front suspension features Dual A-Arms with 9-inches of suspension travel. Coupling the front and rear suspension with a 77-inch long wheelbase, pre-load adjustable ZF Sachs Shocks on all four corners and exclusive front and rear anti-sway bars that keep the chassis flat while cornering, gives the RANGER RZR 570 the ability to soak up anything the trail can throw in its way.
Since the launch of the RANGER RZR 800 in 2008, Polaris has been the only manufacturer to offer a trail-capable Side-by-Side. At 50 inches wide, the RANGER RZR 570 is the second trail-capable model in the family. Built with the patented design that places the engine behind the seat, the RANGER RZR 570 has a low center of gravity delivering agile, razor-sharp handling on the trail. When the trail gets rough, the vehicle’s True All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system puts the 50-inch width to work in and out of corners. It’s the easiest-to-use and fastest responding on-demand system that automatically engages all four wheels when forward traction is needed and it reverts back to two-wheel drive automatically when AWD is no longer needed. The system provides easier steering, less wear and tear on driveline components, and maximum power when you need it most.

2012 ARCTIC CAT WILDCAT 1000i H.O.
![]() |
| 2012 ARCTIC CAT WILDCAT 1000i H.O. |
With industry-leading suspension travel, 13 inches of ground clearance, a full-perimeter frame and the largest displacement engine in its class, the Wildcat is a full-production version of what was previously re-served for off-road race vehicles.
“The Wildcat has no equal. Period,” said Claude Jordan, Arctic Cat President and CEO. “Our customers asked for a high-performance side-by-side, and we happily responded with a no-compromise, pure-sport hot rod that redefines what’s possible with a production off-road vehicle.”
SUSPENSION – Ultimate Long Travel
The Wildcat can effortlessly hammer through whoops and dunes thanks to a front and rear suspen-sion combination that rivals those used on off-road race buggies.
At the rear is an industry-first 5-point multi-link trailing arm suspension that keeps the tires’ contact patches flat while the suspension moves through its industry-leading 18 inches of travel. The unique 5-point multi-link minimizes camber and axle plunge to soak up the harshest terrain without compromising handling and steering.
The double-wishbone front suspension boasts a best-in-class 17 inches of travel, with geometry that’s optimized for stability and control.
Both the front and rear suspensions are dampened by Walker Evans Racing shocks. Designed from a life-time of off-road competition and experience and also made in the USA, these remote reservoir shocks are machined from billet aluminum and feature 17-position compression dampening adjustability, dual-rate springs and preload adjustment. They’re calibrated with ample ride-in to keep the Wildcat’s tires on the ground, with consistent dampening for hours of hard riding.
The all-new Duro Kaden 14-in tires were developed specifically for the Wildcat, utilizing an elongated tread pattern designed to extend to the tires shoulder, providing excellent cornering, traction, performance and durability in rough conditions.
CHASSIS Full-Perimeter Exoskeleton
The foundation for the Wildcat’s suspension is a full-perimeter frame that sets a new standard in strength, rigidity and durability. Usually found only in off-road race trucks, the chassis is constructed from High Strength Low Alloy (HSLA) steel with a full-perimeter exoskeleton design that’s a first in the ROV class.
With a 40/60 front/rear weight distribution, the Wildcat’s front end remains light for optimal handling when tackling gnarly terrain. Occupants in the cockpit of the Wildcat are positioned close to the low center-of-gravity (CG), leaving them less affected by movements of the suspension and chassis and producing a more comfortable and confident ride.
The 1000 H.O engine that powers the new Wildcat is the largest displacement engine in the Pure Sport category, and the ideal match for the industry-leading suspensions and chassis combo.
Built in the USA by Arctic Cat, the 951cc V-Twin, SOHC 4-stroke with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) has proven itself on the Prowler XTZ. On the Wildcat, the 1000 H.O. has been tuned to deliver even stronger acceleration thanks to the extra torque and horsepower provided by heavy-breathing 50mm throttle bodies, a new 2-into-1 ceramic coated exhaust and an all-new air intake system.
The close-coupled, mid-chassis engine location neutralizes the Wildcat’s handling, maximizes the rider/passenger volume and reduces cockpit noise.
The engine transfers power to the driveshaft via the Duramatic automatic CVT transmission. The addition of the Spike Load Dampener (SLD) allows the driveline to slip for a millisecond under harsh spike-loads, reducing the torque load to the system for optimal durability.
A console-mounted shifter allows quicker gear selection between Reverse, Neutral, High and Low gears. Likewise, a dash-mounted switch activates 2- or 4-wheel drive with differential lock. Four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes provide strong, enhanced braking.
Electronic Power Steering
Yet another first-in-class technology, the addition of Arctic Cat’s Variable Assist Electronic Power Steering (EPS) on the Wildcat delivers even greater steering control and ease. The EPS system is a managed electronic control unit (ECU) that measures steering input force, tire resistance and vehicle speed, and then provides the appropriate assist to the steering column through an electric motor. Steering assistance begins at idle, and varies based on the above inputs. The result: Light steering input effort at speed while maintaining the right amount of driver feedback to feel the limits of traction and control. The power assist is particularly noticeable at low speeds and when in 4WD (especially with the differential locked), where its reduced steering effort eases changing direction or navigating tough obstacles like washouts, rocks or mud.
INTERIOR - Comfortable and Controlled
Arctic Cat engineers designed the Wildcat’s interior for optimal occupant comfort, control and visibility. Contoured, high-back bucket seats with upper body supports deliver exceptional comfort and body stability, and rival any aftermarket suspension seat on the market. The cut and sewn design cradles the Wildcat occupants to minimize fatigue. A 3-point seat belt with an anti-cinch design keeps you in place and comfortable through the harshest terrain. Getting in and out of the Wildcat is quick and easy thanks to a tube-frame door with integrated nets. Pivoting from the rear and latching at the front via a simple one-latch mechanism, the doors open quickly and easily, swinging out of the way for hassle-free entry/departure. An infinitely adjustable tilt steering wheel allows you to adjust your steering preferences. A new5-inch digital/analog round gauge provides great readability with its mid-dash location. It displays up to 14 critical operations including: clock/hour meter, fuel level, mode button, set/reset button, odometer/trip, gear position, speedometer/tachometer, differential lock, drive select, high beam, battery condition, temperature and oil pressure. A locking glove box offers ample, convenient storage, while two easy to- reach cup holders are located where beverages won’t interfere with driving controls or arms.
PREMIUM FEATURES
The all-new Wildcat is rich with premium features starting with two automotive- style painted color choices: Black Metallic or Arctic Green Metallic. Class-leading LED headlights and taillights project a light that’s clearer than an HID,with two times brighter Lumens than a halogen system(while utilizing 50 percent less wattage). The Wildcat’s rear cargo bed has the largest capacity in its class with a 300 lb. payload to carry a cooler and additional fuel containers. A 12V accessory outlet is located in the center console for GPS or cell phone adapters. The alternator capacity has been increased for accessory lights, radios or winches. The underside of the Wildcat features full-protection HDPE skid plates to glide over protruding obstacles, while the chassis utilizes maintenance- free bushings for hassle-free durability.
ACCESSORIES - Simple Customization
Arctic Cat will offer more than 50 Wildcat-specific products for the ultimate in customization. These easy-to install parts, accessories and upgrades can be used to personalize and compliment the lines of the ultimate pure sport ROV. An array of trick lightweight aluminum protective accessories will be available, like front and rear pre-runner bumpers, rock sliders, A-arm guards and skid plates. A contoured half windshield with a dust management system will divert the wind up and over the rider while the stylized T-top style roof with integrated rear spoiler and built in headliner has room to install your tunes. Look for other items like a gas can holder, spare tire carrier, cooler holder, fender flares and a box cover to arrive shortly among a host of other products.

NEW Magnum Offroad Website is LIVE
San Marcos, CA - 7/19/2011 - Magnum Offroad is pleased to announce the official launch of our new company website, Magnum Off-Road! After a year of brainstorming, planning, and creative development we are thrilled to see our vision come to light. We are extremely proud to offer our customers a site they can explore and easily navigate to learn more about us and our services.
Developing a fresh, easy to use, and professional website is always a challenge in any industry. In off-road you tend to see very basic sites that don't encompass a lot of fresh and consistently updated content like we are able to offer with our new website. It was important for us to have a site that we could update frequently with fresh new information, news, projects, and products. At the same time we wanted the site to bring all of our social networking pages on Facebook and Twitter together and allow us to offer uniformed information to our customers.
After we had developed a general idea of what we wanted we knew we needed the right person to build the site for us. That's when we called upon our buddy Darrin Pilkington ( Darrin Pilkington )who happens to not only be an awesome web designer but also a fellow off-road and UTV enthusiast as well as a customer of Magnum Offroad. Together we took our ideas and laid them out into an interactive platform using the design, look, and content offering our customers what we feel is the freshest and most advanced new website in off-road.
The site has easy to use navigation at the top of every page allowing you to quickly find exactly what you are looking for in terms of our services and products. By scrolling down you will find clickable images and links everywhere making anything you see an interactive portal to find more of what interests you. We plan to offer continuous updates, videos, images, and information regularly thus encouraging customers and fans to frequent the site on a consistent basis. We also encourage existing customers to send us photos and videos of our products in action on your vehicles, who knows maybe we will feature your vehicle on our homepage!!
In the near future Magnum Offroad will release our full online store and 4X4 site dedicated to our large H1, FJ Cruiser, Jeep, and Truck customer base. Magnum Offroad will be sure to announce when these pages are up and running! For now head on over to Magnum Off-Road and take a look around. Feel free to send us an email or give us a call and let us know what you think! We look forward to interacting more with our customers and we thank all of our current and existing customers, and future customers for all the support of Magnum offroad!

Comments Needed on Oregon Dunes NRA Notice of Intent
The Siuslaw National Forest has published a Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to Establish and Designate Routes and Areas for Off-Highway Vehicle at the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area (ODNRA). The specifics of the Forest Service proposal, including maps, can be found on the web at http://www.fs.fed.us/nepa/fs-usda-pop.php/?project=34220.
BRC has reviewed the loss of historic OHV opportunity since the creation of the NRA. In 1972, approximately 28,000 acres were open for legal OHV use. After implementation of the 1979 ORDNA Management Plan, the acreage available for OHV use was reduced by about 47% down to 15,000 acres. When the 1994 ODNRA Management Plan was adopted, the acreage available for open riding was reduced significantly to 5,930 acres. The agency, in Zone 10 (C), attempts to create the illusion that 4,455 acres of designated routes are available for OHV use. However, since only a few miles of designated routes exist in Zone 10 (C) that acreage is reduced to less than a couple of acres (actual land footprint of the routes).
Between 1972 and 2011, the acreage available for open OHV use has been reduced from 28,000 acres down to just below 6,000 acres. Just 20 percent of the NRA is available for legal OHV use today.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:Hundreds of thousands of OHV users enjoy the ORNDA each year. If you want that use to continue and/or expand, you must send in your comments today.
Please take a few minutes to send in your comments. Tell your own personal story, and consider making some the of issues below which BRC feels are important:

- Failure to comply with 1972 ODNRA Act's statutory requirement to develop management plans with input from a Federal Advisory Council
- Unit-wide failure to address non-native vegetation encroachment
- Should not base ongoing and future management OHV recreation on the outdated 1994 Dunes Plan that was created without input from a Federal Advisory Council
- The NOI's Proposed Action frontloads and taints the upcoming 2014 plan revision process
- The agency failed to coordinate with counties per federal law
- Current planning effort disenfranchises local OHV clubs

Weller Racing Continues SR1 Points Lead in Utah
Lucas Oil Off Road Race Series – Rounds 7 and 8
Chandler, AZ (7/11/2011) Once again, Weller Racing’s Corry Weller was a solid presence on the podium in the SR1 UTV class for the Lucas Oil Off Road Race Series, as it returned to Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. Bouncing back from a poor finish the previous round, Weller was back with a vengeance to prove that she was serious about winning the championship in 2011.
Always liking the challenge of a new track, Weller turned out one of the fastest times in the first practice, and decided early on that she liked the new track and the challenges it offered.
“While new tracks can be a lot of work, I have a great car that gives me a lot of confidence to try new things.” explains Weller. “This track was super slick when it was wet, and hard packed when it was dry. Usually, it’s about the whole package, but this weekend in particular, my Maxxis Ceros tires really did a great job of getting traction throughout the entire race, and that was important for us.” She added, “Plus, I like messy tracks – they force you to reign in your adrenaline a bit and think about throttle control a little more.”
Saturday’s race saw Weller starting towards the back of the field, but by the mandatory caution she had already worked her way up through the field and into the top four overall. With the consistency that she is known for, Weller kept pace with first place for the second half of the race and, capitalizing on a mechanical failure suffered by the Teryx in front of her, almost pulled off a first place finish in a mad dash for the checkers, missing it by three-tenths of a second and giving the crowd an exciting finish!
Sunday’s race proved to be just as solid of a performance as Weller started closer to the front and paced the leader for several laps until she missed an important shift, which allowed third place to scoot past. Not allowing herself to get frustrated, she concentrated on staying smooth and keeping the car in one piece on the brutal track, resulting in another second place finish for the weekend, and boosting her overall points lead to 16 points for the weekend.
“We are halfway through the season now,” stated Weller after the race, “and it’s a great feeling to put a little more distance between us and the rest of the class. This tough little Rhino has been good to me over the past few years, and I’m confident we can do what it takes to stay on top of the newer, more expensive vehicles coming into this class.” Her thoughtful gaze drifts over to her black, Tilted Kilt wrapped SR1 for a moment, and she continues, “It’s all about staying focused on our long-term goals and being totally prepared, one race at a time.”
